Courtyard Cottage, a two-bedroom countryside cottage near Barnstaple in North Devon. Nestled amongst the rolling hills on the edge of Barnstaple is this delightful, character cottage that comfortably accommodates up to four. The cottage has recently been fully refurbished to create a stunning home-away-from-home for couples or small families looking to escape to the North Devon countryside, yet be within easy reach of award-winning beaches and Exmoor National Park.
The tastefully decorated Courtyard Cottage is a holiday home for all seasons, in the winter months get cosy on the sofa in front of the wood-burning stove, and in the summer retreat to one of the terraces where you can enjoy an evening drink surrounded by countryside sounds.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful holiday cottage, it is a gem equipt to a very high standard, certainly a home from home. We have all enjoyed a fantastic week with stunning weather, lovely dinners out and lots of brilliant body boarding and jumping the waves at Croyde bay. Courtyard Cottage is situated just a couple of miles outside of Barnstaple, a lovely market town in North Devon. The cottage’s excellent central location within North Devon means guests are never far from any of the major attractions, including the award-winning beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton; Exmoor National Park, and much, much more.
Guests staying at Courtyard Cottage can take advantage of the many activities that can be enjoyed within the local area such as walking the South West Coast Path, cycling along the Tarka Trail or learning to surf on one of the UK’s most popular surfing beaches. There are also many restaurants to enjoy an evening meal, shops to collect souvenirs and family-friendly attractions to keep all ages entertained including Arlington Court, Exmoor Zoo and The Big Sheep.
